It was a good day and we got a lot of things done. Susie and Ray went to work and allowed us to be in their house and use their laptop as well as ours to get caught up on things and, of course,my blog. We met them for lunch (a little late - Bruce didn't listen to Susie's direction) but had a fun lunch. Susie was able to get off a little early so we were all busy for a while getting caught up. I also got Susie going on quilting so she could show me how she uses her machine - very interesting. She does a great job. In the evening we went to Anita's (Susie's sister) 50th b'day party. Was nice to meet more of their family and some friends. After a bit, we came home and played cards. As you can see below, us girls won at a card game called Black Queen. The guys were good LOSER'S!!!
Had to put in a couple good pictures as we were laughing so hard. We kept playing until late as we didn't want the night to end as it was getting near time to say "Good Bye".
This is Susie quilting. I couldn't believe this machine and how huge it is, but she does a great job. She has to get busy as she has a lot more to quilt. I should have stayed to help her - I took out the pins (big help).
Ray, on the other hand,has a hobby of collecting beer cans (empty). Bruce wished he had known as Ray didn't have any cans from Alaska and he could have certainly supplied him w/a few cans. Neat collection - even one from University of Illinois (Illini) where my daughter went to school. Go Illini!!!
We finally had to say Good Bye about midnight. We were both heading out the next day so we had to call it a night. We want to thank Susie and Ray for a great time, good meals and a ton of laughs. See you in October!!!
