Saturday, August 6, 2011 Horsefly, Canada

Oh what a beautiful day.  It is cool but sunny.  Greg took us out for a couple hours on his fishing boat.  We didn't fish, no license, but took a very nice ride around the lake.  This lake is 800' deep and Greg gets a lot of fishing done here.  The water is crystal clear and they run it through filters and use it for their household needs.

My kind of day!

After our boat ride, we went into town for lunch.  This is Char and me, Bruce and Greg.  Was great just sitting, drinking and talking.

This is the visitor center in town that Gordon built -all out of logs - just beautiful.

Gordon and Jen invited us over for dinner, which was super nice of them.  Bruce hikes w/Gordon and also play water volleyball in mesa.  Gordon was also one of the guys that Bruce hiked down the Grand Canyon with.  We sat out after dinner by the lake.  They also have a very lovely home on the shores of the lake.  Unlike Char & Greg, they live in town.
Yup, you are seeing it - Bruce holding a cat.  She came over from the neighbors.  Reminded us of our cat, Sabrina.  As you see, it is getting dark and  time to head home.  It takes an hour from Jen's house to Char's so we had to drive carefully looking for wildlife.  We did see two deer on the way back.  Our time here in Williams Bay and Horsefly was really special seeing our  friends.  We thank you both very much for more memories of our trip.Posted by Picasa
