We sadly left Estevan after having such a great time w/our dear friends, Susie and Ray. However, it was time to come back to our Country, the USA!!!!!
We crossed the border which took us a while as we were asked to step out of the RV so they could inspect it. After 5 or so minutes, they came out w/one tomato - Please!!!! Not only did two patrolmen go through it, then another and another. I think they were just being snoopy and had nothing else to do. After a good 1/2 hour, we were able to resume our travels.
A fun crop that we saw and very colorful were fields of Sun Flowers. They are so cute as they all face towards the sun. Our friend DeAnna was telling us that they turn w/the sun all day long until just about ripe. We did stop and take a close up picture and sure enough, all the flowers were facing towards the sun - too cool!!
As in Canada, many fields were flooded. This picture below was actually a field at one time. You can even see white caps on the water. The wind was very strong and pushing the RV all over the road. We were happy went we finally were driving East as the wind pushed us along.
There is a lot of coal mining and below is a conveyor system moving the coal from the mine to the power plant. Quite impressive - no trucks needed and I'm sure quite a time saver.

Shortly after we arrived and got set up, at Van and DeAnna's farm, Shorty and Sandy arrived to join us for dinner, drinks and a campfire. It was good to see them as well. This is the group that went hiking the Grand Canyon w/Bruce this past year while in Mesa. They still talk and laugh about this trip.
The girls having a good laugh - I'm sure about stories about their hiking adventures.
Sandy had the floor for whatever reason - probably telling us about them remodeling their house - a very big job. It was a fun night and warm to say the least, especially with the campfire. We chatted late into the night and planning more hiking trips once we all return to Mesa. Van and a friend plan to "run" down and up the Grand Canyon this coming year - Bless their hearts!!!
