Friday, July 8, 2011 Denali Nat'l Park
The morning was spent relaxing w/a cup of coffee, doing a load of laundry and cleaning. However, the afternoon picked up and was a lot more fun. White Water Rafting down the Nenana River. We traveled 24 miles in 4 hours.
Bruce was on the raft where they actually did the paddling whereas I was on a raft where the guide did all that and we just sat and hung on. It was great fun. We did get quite wet but the sun came out to help us dry off and make it warmer. Thank You Sun!!
We were dressed in dry suits as the water was very cold - felt a little damp once we got splashed but that was okay.
The guys really got dumped on but from what I heard, they asked for it.
There was a professional photographer that took this picture from the shore. I'm in the front on the left.
Another group of friends that went for the rapid's.
We were pretty exhausted after four hours so we all decided to go out for Pizza and Beer.
Had another great day
