Left Dawson Creek about 8 and arrived at Fort Nelson about 2:30. We traveled 285 miles on pretty good road. There were a few short, very rough patches of frost heaves. Also had a couple of long steep grades up and down. There wasn’t much to see on the road and we only saw a few deer and a fox. There was rain on and off but when we arrived in Fort Nelson it was during a thunderstorm. We visited the local Heritage Museum which was several buildings of old memorabilia. Watched a movie on building the Alaskan Highway. Later we went to the Saloon for a drink and to use the internet. Had our travel briefing at 7:30 there. We had an appetizer afterward with Ron, Jackie, Dave, and Lynn. George bought me a beer. We stayed there until about 10. Around 1 AM we had a heavy rain again.
This old guy owns about 12 of these antique cas and maintains about 20 - used in local parades.
Roni, Gilbert and Bruce being silly!!!
Sitting in the saloon working on the computer enjoying a drink - of course. My butt got a little sore sitting on a saddle.
