Kenai Mountains |
The Tailgunner has problems w/his RV so we were asked to fill in for him. We made sure everyone left the park in Anchorage w/o any problems and arrived in Homer safely. Thankfully, no one had any problems of any sort. Unfortunately, it was an overcast day driving from Anchorage to Homer but the sights were still beautiful. We drove along the coast most of the day on Sterling Highway. We only saw a couple Eagles and one moose - neither of which we could get a picture. It was an uneventful day, which is always good. We got to Homer safe and sound as did all our friends. After we got our RV settled in, everyone gathered for Happy Hour to discuss what we all did or saw. Then we took a walk on the beach just down from our park. We found out very quickly how fast the tide comes in. We were standing on a sand bar and all of a sudden, the water started coming up behind us - whoa!!! We got out of there quick enough. Time to get to bed for another busy day ahead of fishing.
