Whitehorse
The town has a lot of very colorful buildings.
The staff prepared a breakfast of biscuits and sausage gravy for everyone at the meeting room. Roni and I went into town briefly to get the Yukon passports stamped.
We met the entire group for a boat cruise on the Yukon past Miles Canyon. The 2 hour cruise was okay. We saw a Bald Eagle a couple times and some people got fantastic pictures. Had a muskrat cross the river in front of us. After the cruise we drove into town to get our Yukon passports stamped. Had a lunch back at the RV then went to the Yukon Archives at the local college to research Dad’s accident. A young girl was very helpful but only found copies of a book. We visited the Yukon Art gallery but there wasn’t much there. Drove through town to the Miles Canyon bridge and hiked for a good hour along the river. That night we drove Gil and Jenna to Tippler’s Pub for drinks and a pub dinner. We then went to the Frantic Follies vaudeville show. It was okay but a bit hokie. It seemed like 7 PM when we got out but it was 10:30 PM it was so light out.
Our tailgunner and his wife taking pictures of us on the boat.
Bruce & Jenna helping someone down the stairs - quite steep.
Bald Eagle kept flying around and over the boat - finally sat down for a picture.
Unusual cutout at the art gallery - Bruce fit right in.
Another Eagle perched along the road.
Bruce and I went for a walk and found this old railroad wagon in the middle of the forest. He is pulling the break, which still is in working condition.
Went to a Vaudville show - not the greatest but we had a lot of laughs when our Wagon Master's wife, Carol, got called up on the stage.
