AB Left at 7:30 and drove to Banff via Hwy. 1A. We had a very good breakfast at a local restaurant. Went to the Fairmont Hotel which was built in 1888. We walked around the hotel and then down to the Bow Falls. Took a small trail back. Drove through downtown briefly.   On our return trip, we will definitely stop there again and spend more time.  Just beautiful.  Got back to the Lake Louise Campground about 11:10, packed up and left there at 11:35. Took Hwy. 93 to the Columbia Ice Fields. The scenery on the way was beautiful. There were numerous turnouts for pictures. Stayed overnight in the Ice Fields parking lot. We went on a Glacier tour in a huge machine late in the afternoon. We drank pure glacier water. At the travel briefing we were served some very good cheese cake. Roni visited Ken and Karla for some DVD movies. We watched “The Last Dogmen” at night. At 10:30PM we were warned about a grizzly bear roaming nearby. There was still some light out at 10:30.
